Sarah is currently based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. She is a teacher of the violin, viola, music theory, composition and also provides additional help to students studying for GCSE or A-Level Music. Sarah recently graduated with BMus (Hons) from the University of Huddersfield where she studied compositon under James Saunders and violin under Peter Maslin.

Before studying at Huddersfield University, Sarah already had plenty of experience as a performer. She was a member of the Nottingham Youth Orchestra and the Nottinghamshire County Education Symphony Orchestra. During her A-Levels she was hired to play in a production of Bizet's 'Carmen' and regularly took part in most of the school's music ensembles. Sarah also helped her violin teacher, Fiona Bamford, with a small string group who specialised in folk music. It was at this time that Sarah started to teach the violin and music theory.

During her time at university, Sarah was leader of the 2nd violins in the University Symphony Orchestra and also played for Huddersfield Camerata. After leaving university she joined Slaithwaite Philharmonic Orchestra on viola.

As well as classical music, Sarah also has a love for folk music of the British Isles. When she returns to her hometown of Nottingham, Sarah plays with the folk bands 'Quaver short of a Crotchet' and 'Rand and the Band'.

Sarah has been hired to play in various productions in the Huddersfield area such as 'The Fledermaus', 'Dido and Aeneas', 'Oliver' and 'HMS Pinafore'.
